• Wisconsin construction boom fueled by data centers (dailyreporter.com) — Oak Creek residents should know We Energies plans to convert the Oak Creek Power Plant from coal to natural gas, a multi-hundred-million-dollar project expected to employ thousands of workers over several years. That conversion is part of a broader statewide construction boom, including massive data centers, highway expansions, and new housing and museum projects reshaping Wisconsin’s economy and infrastructure through 2028.
   

• Milwaukee County EMS blood transfusion program looks to expand (spectrumnews1.com) — Oak Creek firefighters are now among seven Milwaukee County departments carrying type O+ blood and equipment to perform life-saving transfusions before patients reach the hospital. In its first year, the countywide program has already helped 38 people, including children, by delivering blood within minutes at emergency scenes. Officials plan to expand the effort so even more residents are covered.
