Driver Learns He Can't Ignore Officer During Traffic Stop: Report

According to police, officers found 20.8 grams of crack cocaine and several items of drug paraphernalia during a search.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say an officer had to break a car window to arrest a car driver who tried ignoring the officer.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an officer on patrol pulled the driver of a vehicle over on the 8700 block of S. Howell Ave just after 9 p.m. on Nov. 2 for a routine traffic violation.

Police said the driver of the vehicle pulled over, however when the officer approached the car, reported seeing crack cocaine inside the vehicle's cabin. he officer issued several commands for two people - a 63-year-old Oak Creek woman and a 41-year-old South Milwaukee man - to get out of the car.

Police said they ignored the officer and rolled up the car windows. The officer smashed out the front driver's side window and several officers removed both people from the car, and took them into custody.
