OAK CREEK, WI — A local girl scout troop from Shepard Hills is raising money to earn a trip to the national Girl Scout convention this October, and organizers say you can help them out by buying a box or three of Girl Scout Cookies this Sunday at the Oak Creek Community Center.

Organizers say their troop is selling cookies with a drive-thru in the parking lot of the Oak Creek Community Center on Sunday March 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cash or credit cards are accepted.

"This is for an independent Girl Scout from Shepard Hills in Oak Creek trying to sell enough to earn a trip to the national Girl Scout convention this October. Cookies are $5 per box. We will have Thin Mints, Caramel Delights, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Shortbread, Lemonades, S'mores, and Thanks-A-Lots. This is the last year to get Thanks-A-Lots as they will be replaced with a new cookie next year," Lynette De Rosa told Oak Creek Patch.
