Man Suspected Of Drunken Driving Crashed In Oak Creek Yard: Cops

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say they arrested a man suspected of drunken driving after he crashed into the front yard of a home on S. Nicholson Road.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, a 911 caller contacted police after watching a vehicle careen off the road on the 10000 block of S. Nicholson Road at just before midnight on Jan. 17 and into a ditch.

Police reported finding the driver of the car, a 55-year-old South Milwaukee man. Police said the man appeared to be intoxicated. Police arrested the man on suspicion of drunken driving after he failed several field sobriety tests and returned a 0.14 blood alcohol concentration on a preliminary breath test, call logs stated.
According to police, the man was cited for his first drunken driving offense. Neither the vehicle nor any private property was damaged in the incident, police noted.
