Oak Creek Farmers Market Returns On Saturday: Music, Vendors And More

The Oak Creek Farmers Market is returning to Drexel Town Square on Saturday with grilled foods and cocktails to kick off the season.

OAK CREEK, WI — The Oak Creek Farmers Market is scheduled to return to Drexel Town Square on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with live music, grilled food, cocktails, new vendors and more, according to the market's flyer.

The 2022 season will be the largest yet with 55 vendors expected across the duration, the flyer said. Familiar vendors will be present, while others will be returning throughout the year on a rotating schedule.

Saturday's market will be celebrated as the first of this season with hotdogs and hamburgers for sale from Kings Catering, while Cubanitas will provide cocktails and soft drinks on the square, according to the flyer. A special table for people to try vegetables for free each week will also join the market. The first week will have Dilly Carrots.

Live music will be provided by Carmen Nickerson and Kostia. Nickerson is a Milwaukee musician who The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Piet Levy wrote has a "shimmering voice" that "seizes the spotlight."

The Oak Creek Fire Department will join the market by selling t-shirts with their new logo, and Radar from 99.1 WMYX will be in attendance, according to the market's flyer.

The market is also expected to have a variety of farm-fresh foods, produce, cheeses, eggs, meats, fruits, honey and flowers, the city's website said. Drexel Town Square is located at 361 Town Square Way.
