Oak Creek Graffiti Suspect Arrested: Report

Police say they've arrested the person responsible for spray painting the Dale Richards Trail and several other spots in Oak Creek.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police say they've arrested the person responsible for spray painting the Dale Richards Nature Trail and several other spots in Oak Creek.

According to Oak Creek police, officers were sent to the Dale Richards Trail at just after 7:30 a.m. on a report that the trail had been tagged with spray paint. Police reported that three benches and three nature signs were spray painted with obscene messages in black spray paint. The estimated damage was $300.

Police took a second report of spray paint damage on the 500 block of W. Riverwood Drive that morning, after a Riverwood Arms Apartment resident told police that her car had been spray painted. The damage was estimated to be $500.

At just after 8 a.m. officers were sent to the Meijer on Town Square Way for more spray paint damage. A manager said someone spray painted graffiti on the southwest wall of the building and also on the west wall of the building.

Later that day, police managed to identify and track down the suspect in this spray paint case. The suspect has been arrested and has been ordered into court on Feb. 24 on suspicion of criminal damage to property.
