Oak Creek High School Plans First Musical At New Arts Center
Oak Creek High School Theatre will perform "Crazy For You" in December as the first musical at the new Performing Arts and Education Center.

OAK CREEK, WI — One of the largest productions in years for Oak Creek High School Theatre will soon debut at the new Oak Creek Performing Arts and Education Center.
"Crazy For You," a musical written by Ken Ludwig with music by George and Ira Gershwin, will be the first musical ever to be performed on the stage at the new OCPAEC. The performance is set to take the stage Dec. 10-12.
The romantic comedy features the character Bobby Child, a young banker from New York who is sent to foreclose a theatre in Nevada. But when Bobby arrives in Nevada, he falls for a girl, and his original plans of closing the theatre turns into saving it.

The plot of the musical rings similarly to the story of the OCPAEC, a news release from the high school's theatre said. OCPAEC was only made possible after decades of failed referendums and with its recent completion, shows that were once cramped will be put on a stage in front of 1000 seats.
This past weekend marked the first concert at the new OCPAEC. On Saturday, an Eagles tribute band performed. The December Crazy For You show will mark the first musical in the space.
