Oak Creek 'Light The Square' Tree Lighting Set For Wednesday

The City of Oak Creek is slated to hold a tree lighting ceremony at Drexel Town Square Wednesday evening.

OAK CREEK, WI — The City of Oak Creek has planned its 2021 tree lighting to take place at Drexel Town Square Wednesday evening, complete with a visit from Santa, caroling and other children's activities.

According to the city's website, the gathering will start at 5:30 p.m. at Drexel Town Square in Oak Creek. Santa will have the honor of lighting the tree at 6 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will then be available for pictures until 7:30 p.m.

The city advised people to bring their own cameras for the event and to dress for the weather. Children's activities will be available nearby in the Civic Center, 8040 South 6th Street, from 5:30-7 p.m. and caroling from Midwest Vocals will take place 5:45-6:15 p.m., according to the city's website.

Hot cocoa and cookies will be available while supplies lasts, the city's website said.
