Oak Creek Man Found Hiding Under Stairs After Eviction: Police

Police said they searched the property, and found him hiding under the stairs between a gap in the stairs and the wall.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say man who was evicted from his home on S. Verdev Ave. came back twice in one day, once during a real estate showing, resulting in his arrest.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers were sent to the home on the 7900 block of S. Verdev Ave. just after midnight on March 9 on a report that the man was inside the house.

Police said the man had been evicted from the property and was no longer allowed on the property. Police said the man was cited for trespassing after officers found him trying to put groceries inside the refrigerator.

When police talked with the property owner, he told police that he warned the man several times that he shouldn't be there, and wanted him cited for trespassing.

According to police, the man trespassed a second time that day.

According to police call logs, officers were sent back to the house at 10 a.m. later that morning after a realtor was showing the property, and found that the man had returned.
