Police Investigate One Crime At Menards; End Up Solving Another
According to police, a 29-year-old Greenfield man was arrested after he tried stealing $125 in copper. Here's why police were there first:

OAK CREEK, WI — Police say they investigated one crime at Menards only to solve another one that happened at nearly the same time.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, the driver of a Lexus said that someone stole the license plate off her vehicle while she was at work at Menards during the day on Feb. 19.
Police call logs stated that the driver of a green Subaru Outback pulled up to her car, and removed the rear plate. The suspect was described as a man of average height and build.

While there, police received a report of a retail theft that was happening at the same time. According to police, a 29-year-old Greenfield man was arrested after the store's loss prevention officer confronted the man after he tried to steal $125 worth of copper.
