Police Wake Up Drunken Driver, Arrest Him In Oak Creek: Report
An Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after police say he was found asleep at the wheel.

OAK CREEK, WI — An Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after police say he was found asleep at the wheel.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, an officer on patrol near the area of S. Howell Ave. and W. Puetz Road at just before 3 a.m. on Dec. 15 came upon a vehicle stopped in the right turn lane blocking traffic. The driver was asleep behind the wheel, the officer noted.
Police said the officer got out of his squad, and walked over to the asleep driver in order to wake him up. When he was roused, the officer said the man had red, glassy eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. When speaking with him, the driver admitted to drinking that evening, police call logs stated.

According to police, after failing field sobriety tests, the officer conducted a preliminary breath test, which recorded a blood alcohol concentration of .18, which is double the legal limit for drunken driving in Wisconsin.
He was arrested and cited for his second drunken driving offense.
