Shoplifter Decided To Fight Off-Duty Cop, And Lost: Report
Police in Oak Creek say an off-duty Milwaukee Police Officer was at the local Pick 'n Save when he confronted a shoplifter.

OAK CREEK, WI — Authorities say a shoplifter picked a fight with an off-duty Milwaukee Police Officer as he and his accomplice tried loading their car with stolen groceries. Police say the whole experience did not turned out as the couple hoped.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, an off-duty Milwaukee police officer was shopping at the Oak Creek Pick 'n Save at just after 9 a.m. on Feb. 6 when he saw a 30-year-old Milwaukee man and 21-year-old West Allis woman push a full cart of items out of the store's south entrance without paying for them.
Police said the off-duty officer tried getting the couple to stop and eventually pushed the man up by the driver's side door of his car parked in the parking lot.

According to police, the off-duty officer and the man ended up getting into a fight in the parking lot. The two ended up on the ground wrestling as they fought. The off-duty officer eventually got the man to stop fighting after striking him in the ribs. He held the man to the ground until officers arrived.
The off-duty officer said the woman kept loading things into their car as the off-duty officer and the man fought nearby.

The woman was cited for retail theft and the man was arrested for disorderly conduct and retail theft.
