My name is Staci Joers, and I am a Wisconsin native who has been teaching demonstration-style cooking classes all over SE WI for nearly two decades! For the first time ever, I will be offering my monthly culinary classes at Oak Creek High School in the Empower Academy kitchen through Door #18 at the Ninth Grade Center on the northwestern corner of the building.

Join me at one of my upcoming monthly classes where you will have the opportunity to watch and learn as I cook every recipe in front of you, which you then get to taste and enjoy! Recipes are included.

My first class in 2021 is: CIOPPINO - THE REAL SAN FRANCISCO TREAT! Cioppino is a fish stew originating in San Francisco, California. It is an Italian American dish and is related to various regional fish soups and stews of Italian cuisine called Cioppin or Cioppio. It is hearty and satisfying and perfect for a cold winter night. I will prepare my version of Cioppino along with a few other recipes to make a perfect menu for entertaining.
At that class you'll enjoy...
- No-Knead Sourdough Bread
- Apricot-Almond Baked Brie
- Cioppino fish stew
- Lavender Creme Brûlée for a crowd

I have a comprehensive COVID plan in place to keep all of my class attendees safe as we learn and eat together! Here is an overview:
*Smaller class sizes for now
*Adding more tables and spreading people out more for social distancing.
*Cleaning all surfaces with bleach (as I've always done) prior to class but using the pandemic/virus guidelines for the amount of bleach to be used.
*Soaking all cooking utensils in a bleach sanitizing solution after use.
*I will have individually wrapped disposable masks available for those who need one for $1.00 each.
*My assistants and I will be wearing masks and gloves.
*I will have disposable gloves in small, medium and large for anyone that would like them.
*We will use disposable plates only once and never reuse them.
*Hand sanitizer will be available.
I hope that this plan puts your minds at ease that I am prepared and will have everything in place to run classes safely according to the latest guidelines.
