Woman Pinned in Accident on 10th Street

Two vehicles collided as a driver tried to pass in the 7400 block of S. 10th St. A 56-year-old woman's vehicle ended up in a ditch.

A 56-year-old New Berlin woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital after she flipped her car over while trying to pass a vehicle and landed in a ditch, according to an report.

Police say the woman attempted to pass a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Menomonee Falls man in the 7400 block of S. 10th St., before the road goes from two lanes to one.

The vehicles collided and the 56-year-old swerved in front of the other vehicle, hit the guard rail and flipped over, ending up in a ditch in the median.

An officer arrived about 2:30 p.m. and saw the woman pinned inside the vehicle. She was taken out and transported to Froedtert Hospital with head and arm pain.

Her vehicle sustained severe damage, while the Menomonee Falls man's vehicle had minor damage.

The Milwaukee County Highway Department was called for damage to the guard rails.
