The case stems from a new Wisconsin law restricting non-FDA-approved vapes, which the company is appealing, while a separate lawsuit challenges the law itself.

Man convicted in Fox River hit-and-run boat crash files appeal, criticizes trial fairness (wbay.com) — An Oshkosh-area boater convicted after a 2022 Fox River crash in Winnebago County is now appealing, arguing jurors were misinstructed and evidence didn’t prove criminal recklessness. He previously received a five‑month jail sentence, probation, and community service, while several civil lawsuits tied to the incident are still moving forward.

Geyser back at Oshkosh psychiatric hospital; DOC staffers on leave after group home escape (fox11online.com) — Morgan Geyser, involved in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing case, is now being held at the state-run psychiatric hospital in Oshkosh after escaping a Madison group home and being recaptured. State corrections staff are on leave while officials investigate how her escape alert was handled, and prosecutors are seeking to revoke her conditional release.
   

4. Immigrant community, support organizations band together through racist rhetoric (nbc26.com) — Immigrant and refugee families in Oshkosh are turning to local groups like SEPO and Casa Esther for food, basic needs, and emotional support as funding cuts and hostile rhetoric increase anxiety.
