• Crews battling house fire in Carson (spmetrowire.com) — Fire crews from Plover joined departments from Stevens Point and Hull early Monday to battle a serious house fire in the Town of Carson on Town Line Road. One resident escaped safely and no injuries were reported, but multiple departments, including later help from Vesper and Stockton, were needed for hours to contain the blaze.
   

• Smile Club dental clinic stays open under new partnership (spmetrowire.com) — Families in Plover should know that preventive dental care through the Boys & Girls Club’s Smile Club is continuing under a new partnership with Noble Community Clinics. The one-chair clinic inside the Stevens Point Berard Center remains open, and patients can also use Noble’s expanded Main Street clinic, helping serve more than 200 children annually across locations including Plover and other Portage County communities.
