1,800 iPads, Chromebooks All Set for the New School Year
Students at the middle and high schools in the Port Washington-Saukville School District will be using Chromebooks as part of their education in the 2013-14 school year.

As part of $1 million plan to boosts the use of technology in the Port Washington-Saukville District, middle and high school student's will kick off the school year with iPads and Chromebooks infused in their learning experience.
The district spent the summer prepping the 1,800 computers and tablets for students, who will start using the devices just a couple days after the first day of school.
"We are all very excited about the possibilities, however it is important to stress that the teacher and student remain the most important part of the learning process," High School Principal Eric Burke wrote in a newsletter to parents. "While the device provides the opportunity to support that learning in new and different ways, it does not take the place of a committed and caring adult in the classroom."
