The future of Port Washington-Saukville is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Amy Jentges, who are making a positive impact in and around Port Washington-Saukville.

Amy, a Port Washington native, exemplifies the qualities of a standout young leader through her extensive contributions to 4-H and agricultural education. As a recipient of the prestigious Oscar G. & Mary W. Woelfel Memorial Scholarship for 2024, her diverse 4-H portfolio spans projects from beef and dairy to jewelry making and photography, reflecting both her versatility and creativity.

In addition to her projects, Amy has held notable leadership roles, including President of her 4-H club, Ozaukee County Dairy Board Youth Representative and Livestock Association member. Her accomplishments, such as the 4-H Key Award and the Crowley Dairy Leadership Award, further highlight her dedication to agriculture and youth development.

Amy’s influence extends statewide through her role as State FFA Secretary, where she has facilitated over 200 workshops and events for students across Wisconsin. Currently a junior pursuing a degree in Agricultural Education at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, she remains active in organizations like the Agricultural Education Society and Collegiate Farm Bureau. Her passion for education and leadership, combined with her commitment to inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders, makes Amy a true role model and a remarkable representative of 4-H and her community.
