Study Reveals how Port Washington Students Compare With Neighbors, National Averages

PORT WASHINGTON, WI —Are you smarter than a fifth grader? According to a national study, when it comes to reading and math, the average Port Washington fourth grader comes close.

An educational study conducted by the University of Stanford, investigated the educational attainment of each U.S. School District and how it compared with national averages.

The study found that students in the Port Washington School District were at an educational level 0.9 grade levels higher than national averages. That means that the average fourth grader is performing at the educational level nearly equivalent of the U.S. average fifth grader.
