- Young children should always be accompanied by an adult
- Never trick or treat alone
- Wait to eat any candy until you get home and can check it over
- Walk on sidewalks where available
- Cross the street at corners or in a crosswalk and don't run
- Carry a flashlight
- Visit only houses where the lights are on.
