Jamaican Dinner at the Salvation Army

The Salvation Army invites the community to LEARN about the country and culture of JAMAICA, Tuesday March 6, 2012 at 7 p.m., Major Shirley Espersen and Major Nancy Emmans (both Waukesha residents) will present informative information and a “taste” of Jamaican food.

Major Shirley Espersen spent eight years doing Mission work in the Caribbean Islands, working out of Kingston, Jamaica. Her assignments including being on staff at The Salvation Army Training College (Seminary), on staff at the Territorial Headquarters, and Director of The Salvation Army’s Child and Senior Citizen Sponsorship program. She traveled all the islands and spent much time in Haiti during her tenure there.  Major Shirley will return to Jamaica in April and May to continue helping with Salvation Army mission work.  Major Nancy Emmans recently return with Major Shirley from a one-month assignment and are excited to share their experience.
