• New Berlin police officer misconduct; Steven Dodson sentenced (fox6now.com) — A Waukesha County judge has sentenced former New Berlin officer Steven Dodson to six months in jail and probation after DEA-supplied drugs for K-9 training disappeared from police storage. Investigators from the Waukesha Police Department tied Dodson to repeated unauthorized locker access, while records also detailed a prior overdose incident in Mukwonago and concerns about his prescription drug use.

• Waukesha County foster parents honored for 15 years of service (gmtoday.com) — Longtime Waukesha County foster parents Gerald and Laura Morrison have been honored with Sen. Julian Bradley’s Forward28 award for more than 15 years of caring for local children. The couple has welcomed multiple sibling groups, adopted three children, supported reunifications, and provided trauma-informed care, earning additional recognition as Outstanding Families Award recipients in 2025.
