Marie hired as Waukesha West boys soccer coach (gmtoday.com) β€” Waukesha West High School has named former Carroll University men’s soccer coach Derek Marie as its new head boys soccer coach, succeeding Bryce Warner after the 2025 season. Marie brings college coaching and playing experience, plus campus leadership roles, to a program that recently captured the 2024 Division 2 state championship.

Waukesha County Sheriff Severson announces retirement at end of term (gmtoday.com) β€” Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson says he’ll retire at the end of his current term, wrapping up a 40-year law enforcement career that’s included major policy decisions and national roles. His departure will open the sheriff’s seat for the 2026 election cycle, with candidates able to start circulating nomination papers in April.

5. Former North Avenue Market food hall in Uptown to get new restaurant (jsonline.com) β€” A proposed Dunkin’ Donuts at 2110 E. Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha is moving through the city’s Plan Commission process, tied to an Illinois design firm that works with national chains. That same firm is also behind plans to convert Milwaukee’s former North Avenue Market food hall into a new drive-thru restaurant, after the original venture closed under heavy debt.
