A Waukesha-based engine plant will be laying off a majority of its workers starting by the end of this year.

WAUKESHA, WI — A Waukesha-based engine plant will be laying off a majority of its workers starting by the end of this year.
According to a mass layoff notice published by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Innio Waukesha Gas Engines, Inc., 1101 W. St. Paul Ave. will be laying off from 75 to 120 hourly workers beginning Dec. 31.
State officials said the company does not know the exact number of workers who will be laid off, and that the final number is contingent on "business considerations and negotiations."
