Waukesha Garage Fire Started With Air Conditioner: Report

WAUKESHA, WI — Authorities in Waukesha say a garage fire was quickly put out, but not before the fire damaged a resident's detached garage.

According to Waukesha police call logs, officers and firefighters responded to a home on the 700 block of N. Glenn Drive at just before 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 on a report of a garage fire.

Police said an officer at the scene spoke with the homeowner. The man told police he saw a flickering light coming from behind his garage. When he went to take a closer look, he saw that his air conditioner had caught fire, according to police.
