A Waukesha police officer was working the perimeter of another call around 11:30 p.m. Friday at White Rock and North Hartwell avenues when the officer was approached by Palmore. Palmore had a cut on the top of his head and a second cut on his knuckle.

Palmore told the officer he was involved in a fight at a downtown bar and had a bottle broken over his head. The man agreed he needed an ambulance, so the officer repeatedly told the man to lean against the squad car so the man would not fall or hurt himself. Palmore looked dizzy and was walking around in circles.

After Palmore continued to ignore the officer’s instructions, the officer grabbed his wrist. Palmore attempted to break free and other officers assisted in attempting to control Palmore. Palmore was grunting and growling deeply until he was placed in the ambulance.

Palmore attempted to sit up in the back of the ambulance while wearing the handcuffs and started spitting.

After a spit bag was placed over Palmore’s head, Palmore told the officer he was going to kill his girlfriend because she had custody of their children.

Palmore told the officer he sits in the parking lot at The Women’s Center to watch the children. Palmore told the officer he was literally on his way to kill the girlfriend before he was arrested.

“You’ll see,” Palmore said to the officer when he was asked how he would kill the girlfriend.

Palmore admitted he had consumed too much alcohol. He also had cocaine in his blood system.
