Waukesha Neighbor Caught Stealing Halloween Decorations: Report
Police said the homeowner confronted his neighbor over the stolen decorations, however the thief refused to return the Halloween decorations

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha say a Halloween decoration thief was convinced to return the outdoor decorations he stole after police said he could be arrested.
According to Waukesha police call logs, officers were called out to an apartment on the 700 block of E. Saint Paul Ave. at just before 9 a.m. on Oct. 26 on a report of a theft.
Police call logs stated that a neighbor had several of their Halloween decorations stolen. Police said the homeowner was walking through the neighborhood when he saw some of the stolen decorations in the window their neighbor.

Police said the homeowner confronted his neighbor over the stolen decorations, however the thief refused to return the Halloween decorations.
Police said officers went out to the house to resolve the situation. Officers there reported talking with the thief, who admitted to stealing decorations from his neighbor's front yard over the past two weeks.

Police told the neighbor he could be arrested for municipal theft if he didn't return the decorations. He returned the decorations, and was neither arrested nor cited for theft.
