‱ Wausau shelter gets $5K gift as part of Brush, Book, Bed campaign (wausaudailyherald.com) — The Women’s Community in Wausau just received $5,000 plus pajamas, books, and toothbrushes from Delta Dental of Wisconsin and its foundation, supporting local children and families in shelter. The gifts are part of the 10th annual Brush, Book, Bed campaign, which also aids shelters in Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids and promotes healthy nighttime routines for kids.

‱ Children's Imaginarium wins Packers grant for STEM reuse program (wausaudailyherald.com) — Families in Wausau can look forward to a new hands-on STEM experience at the Children’s Imaginarium, funded by a Green Bay Packers Foundation grant. The “Reuse Revolution” program will teach kids to turn recycled materials into creative inventions while learning about engineering, problem-solving, and sustainability, in partnership with local industry leaders and aimed at engaging young minds across central Wisconsin.
   

‱ Lynn A. 'Bud' Starkey Jr. (yourdailyglobe.com) — Family and friends in the Wausau-Rothschild area are mourning Lynn A. “Bud” Starkey Jr., 70, who passed away in Wausau on Dec. 10. The longtime mechanic and heavy equipment operator leaves behind family across Wisconsin and Mississippi, and, per his wishes, no formal services will be held, with Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau assisting the family.
