2 Arrested In Wauwatosa Bank Robbery

WAUWATOSA, WI — Two men were arrested in connection with a bank robbery Wednesday at North Shore Bank, 8706 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa police said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Two men were arrested around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the city of Milwaukee on suspicion of robbery, police said. They were not identified.

Both suspects were in custody at the Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility. Bail information was not available. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County district attorney’s office for any charges.

Police said the incident happened around noon. A person entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money, police said. The person didn't display or imply a weapon, police said. After receiving cash from the teller, the person left in a car, police said.

Bank employees, witnesses and video surveillance from the area led police to a suspect, police said.

Police arrested the two men at a residence in the city of Milwaukee while executing a search warrant, police said.
