WAUWATOSA, WI — Wauwatosa Police responded to calls for service from Sept. 19 through Thursday involving burglaries and catalytic converter thefts.

A 2019 Kia Optima valued at $19,000 was stolen from Mayfair Mall, 2300 N. Mayfair Road, on Sept. 19.

A man broke into two different storage units at a North Avenue apartment complex on Tuesday. Surveillance footage showed the man carrying a black backpack and a plastic Sendik's bag and taking items.
A catalytic converter valued at $1,500 was stolen from a Honda Element on Tuesday in the 2500 block of North 62nd Street. The thief’s car was described as a tan Dodge Caravan with a leaky exhaust and tinted windows.

A catalytic converter valued at $1,000 was stolen from a 1999 Ford recreational vehicle in the 7400 block of Blanchard Street on Wednesday.
An attempted strong-arm robbery was reported early Thursday at a Shell gas station on North Hawley Road. A man tried to forcefully take numerous packs of cigarettes from the station attendant and fled the store.
