Brookfield Pilot Dies After Crashing In Wauwatosa
The 18-year-old radioed his plane engine wasn't working before he crashed into a yard, the medical examiner's office said.
WAUWATOSA, WI — An 18-year-old Brookfield man died on Saturday after his two-seater plane crashed into a Wauwatosa yard on Thursday, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office announced.
Daniel Perelman died of his injuries at a local hospital and his death was ruled as an accident, a report from the examiner's office showed. The man's single-engine Cessna 152 crashed in a Wauwatosa resident's backyard south of Timmerman Airport.
Perelman took off from the airport, made one pass, made a touch-and-go landing and radioed that his engine wasn't working and he "didn't know what to do," the examiner's office said in a statement. The plane flaps were up which showed the engine wasn't running.
