Child Seriously Injured After Wauwatosa Train Accident

WAUWATOSA, WI — A child was transported to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after authorities say the child was struck by a train in Wauwatosa.

Authorities said the accident happened near 70th Street and State Street just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

That intersection is the closest one to the Hart Park playground and Tosa Skate Park and is located just south of a shopping complex that contains two grocery stores and a variety of smaller businesses.

According to one report, the child is 13 years old.
