MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI— We Need Help With The Dishes is Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s virtual event on supporting the mission to end hunger in the community, according to a news release.

When: Online program is Thursday from 6:30p.m. to 7 p.m.
Auction runs Thursday, April 22nd at 6:30 p.m. through Monday, April 26th at 9 p.m.

The We Need Help With The Dishes event is hosted by Denise Thomas, The Effective Communication Coach and Chef Ace Champion and will feature personal stories from those who have faced hunger during this pandemic and how the Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin network has impacted their and their families lives, the release said.

Popular musical artists Motel Breakfast will provide the music. Viewers will be able to make donations through and after the event as well as bid on unique auction items, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to feed the hungry in our local community.
"On a daily basis, we see the devastation in our communities and it breaks our hearts. But our commitment to our mission to solve hunger gives us strength. We will not give up, but we cannot do this alone, the release said.

Patch has partnered with Feeding America to help raise awareness on behalf of the millions of Americans facing hunger. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that in 2021, about 42 million Americans may not have enough nutritious food to eat due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
