Mask Policy Changes Announced At Froedtert, Medical College of WI
Medical-grade masks instead of cloth masks went into effect on Jan. 1.
WAUWATOSA, WI— Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin has changed the type of face masks people wear in the facilities. Instead of cloth masks, everyone must wear a medical-grade face mask.
The change was effective on Jan. 1, according to a hospital spokesperson.
"The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network continues to experience record setting admissions, ED visits and hospitalizations. Everyone in our facilities is required to wear a medical-grade mask at all times. We will supply a mask for those who don’t have one, the spokesperson said.

Exceptions will be made for patients who are unable to wear a face mask due to a medical condition or disability, the website said.
A medical-grade face mask must be worn by visitors and staff at all times. This includes when in a patient's room. Exceptions will not be made for visitors or staff, the website said.
