North 68th Street Construction Will Continue Until October: City
The city is lining a sewer, fixing the surface and installing a bike lane just outside of the Wauwatosa Village.

WAUWATOSA, WI — The road construction on North 68th Street between Milwaukee Avenue and West State Street will continue for as late as October, the City of Wauwatosa said.
North 68th Street between Milwaukee Avenue and West State Street remains closed to traffic, the city announced Wednesday. The road will stay closed for as long as late October, it added.
Construction contractors are currently lining the sewer on the north end of North 68th Street by Milwaukee Avenue, the city said. The contractors will move onto fixing the surface of the road after the sewer is finished, it added.

One of the final steps for street construction is adding bike lane markings to one side of the road, the city said.
Building a sewer under the road improves its function, particularly during heavy rains, the city said. Adding a bike lane contributes towards bicycle and pedestrian safety, it added.
