Second Police Investigation of Priest Closed with No Action
A mother stepped forward in April with another allegation inappropriate contact with her child by Father Robert Marsicek, but girl's story was found unreliable as evidence and no further action is to be taken.

A police investigation of another complaint against Father Robert Marsicek was closed last week when detectives determined there was no useful or reliable evidence to support further action.
Marsicek had been removed from his duties at St. Pius X Church and Wauwatosa Catholic School on March 28 during an initial investigation of alleged inappropriate behavior with children at the school and in its day care program.
That investigation led to a request for charges, but the Milwaukee County District Attorney's declined to pursue prosecution, saying there was not enough evidence to prove Marsicek acted criminally.Â

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Tuesday that a second investigation had been opened and was ongoing, but according to police reports and an interview Thursday with Wauwatosa police, the matter was closed last Friday.
The mother of a minor girl went to police on April 21, police reports said, after reading news accounts of the initial investigation of Marsicek. She told a detective her daughter had described instances of inappropriate contact with Marsicek.

But a social worker who conducted an interview with the child concluded that her story was inconsistent and that it was difficult to tell whether much of what she was saying was real or fantasy. The Wauwatosa police detective, who watched the interview on closed circuit television, concurred and recommended no further investigation.
