MILWAUKEE, WI — Summerfest isn't happening in 2020, but the thousands of flowers that would have been planted all throughout the Summerfest grounds are free and available for pickup over the next two days.

Alice's Garden Urban Farm, 2136 N. 21st Street is giving away thousands of free flowers, ready-to-plant. They're partnering with Milwaukee County Parks and Milwaukee World Festival to host the giveaway.

"Since Henry Maier Festival Park is not open for events this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, festival administration and staff hope the flowers are enjoyed throughout the community, in celebration of the summer season," organizers wrote. "What a gift! We cannot go to the festival grounds this season, so we get to bring a bit of Summerfest and all of the other festivals home with us."
