Wave Of Kia Thefts + Man Punched + Taser Deployed: Wauwatosa Police
Wauwatosa officers arrested four teens accused of breaking into cars, and used a taser to end a foot pursuit, according to police logs.

WAUWATOSA, WI — Officers from the Wauwatosa Police Department responded to multiple calls over the past week, including a wave of car thefts, a man who got punched after confronting car thieves and a foot pursuit that ended in a taser deployment.
Here are the notable incidents from police logs on June 3 to Thursday.

Multiple Wauwatosa residents reported their cars stolen over the span of a week, including a person stealing a woman's car on camera. Most cars stolen were built by manufacturers Hyundai and Kia.
A Wauwatosa woman reported her Kia Sorento stolen from the 6200 block of W. State Street on June 3, police logs showed. Milwaukee police found the car in the 9000 block of Stickney Avenue around 5:45 a.m.

Three people reported their cars stolen on June 4: A Hyundai Elantra from the 3300 block of N. 124th Street, a Kia Sportage from the 2100 block of N. 71st Street, and a Kia Seltos from the 2500 block of N. Mayfair Road. Two people reported their cars broken into and rummaged through in separate incidents the same day, police logs showed.
In a separate incident, a Wauwatosa woman reported her Kia Soul stolen from a parking lot on the 7500 block of W. North Avenue on June 8, police logs showed. Police looked at a security video of the car being stolen and found a still image of the thief.
A different Wauwatosa woman reported her car stolen from her open garage on the 3100 block of N. Menomonee River Parkway on June 8, police logs showed. She told police someone entered her house and stole her keys.
Man Confronts Would-Be Car Thieves, Gets Punched In Face
A Wauwatosa man told police that he confronted a teen trying to steal his car at the 2100 block of N. 85th Street on June 4. While he confronted the would-be thief on his driveway, a second teen walked up and punched him in the face, according to police logs. Both teens got into a waiting car and fled.
Police Arrest Man For Firearms Violation After Foot Chase, Taser
Police arrested a man after a short foot chase that ended with officers deploying a taser on the 4000 block of Menomonee River Parkway on June 4, police logs showed. The man was charged with one count of possession of a firearm as a felon.
Four Teens Arrested, Accused Of Breaking Into Cars
Officers arrested two teens on charges of burglary, stealing a car and resisting arrest in the 6400 block of W. Clarke Street on June 6. The teens entered a closed garage and stole a Kia Soul, police said.
In a separate incident, police arrested two teens accused of attempting to steal a parked car in the 1500 block of Underwood Avenue on June 7. A police officer saw two teens break a front passenger window and strip the steering column of a Hyundai Sonata, according to police logs.
