WAUWATOSA, WI — The Wauwatosa Health Department is offering booster doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine by appointment only.

Before scheduling an appointment, here is what you should know.

  • Boosters are available only to people who previously received the Pfizer vaccine.
  • Individuals who received the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines for their primary series can't receive the Pfizer booster.
  • Children under 18 can't receive the booster at this time.
  • Eligible individuals can receive the booster at least six months after they finished their primary series.
  • The health department will accept verbal self-attestation as sufficient proof regarding eligibility for the booster dose of Pfizer.
