Alta, WY — If you plan it right, the snacks at your football watch party on Feb. 11 will be as much discussed as the key plays. When we asked Wyoming readers to submit their MVP-worthy recipes, Jo Gathercole submitted this recipe:

Calico Beans

3–4 slices bacon
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
Brown first three ingredients and drain off fat.
Add:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup catsup
2 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 can, lima beans, undrained
1 can kidney beans, undrained
1 can pinto beans, undrained
1 large, can pork & beans

Bake at 300° for 1-1/2 hours, uncovered or slow cooker 4–6 hours on low
