- A Casper resident has been charged with three new felonies while awaiting a sentence for felony drug possession. In January, a confidential source identified Timothy Gaffield as a methamphetamine and fentanyl distributor, and agents surveilled him at a motel where they observed known drug users coming and going from his room. Police searched his home with a warrant and found 12.7 grams of methamphetamine. Gaffield’s bond was set at $50,000 by Assistant District Attorney Stephanie Arrache for the “severity of the drug epidemic in Casper.” (Oil City News)
- A Casper Re-entry Center (CRC) resident has been found after escaping earlier in the week. On Monday, Brittany Kern checked out of the center for an appointment and failed to return. Natrona County Sheriff’s Office reported Kern as an escapee at approximately 10:20 p.m. that same day. Kern was sentenced to CRC in December of 2022 after her probation was revoked for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and had a projected release date of August 2023.
