- Casper-area museums will be bringing back their "Passport to Adventure" program, encouraging visitors and residents to explore local museums, art galleries, and historic sites throughout the summer. The program is open to families with children as well as individuals, and participants who visit the majority of venues have a chance to enter a prize drawing. The program will begin on Memorial Day weekend and run until Labor Day, with the prize drawings taking place on Sep. 9. The Museums of Casper will announce the winners live on their Facebook page. - Lorna Green has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly setting fire to Wellspring Health Access, a Casper clinic that offers abortion services. The indictment states that Green maliciously damaged and destroyed the building, and the arson charges are tied to Wellspring's work with other states. The clinic faced protests and threats after announcing its plan to offer abortions, and the fire caused significant damage and delayed its opening. If convicted, Green could face fines and imprisonment; a trial is estimated to take one to five days. (WyoFile)
- A Casper man named Michael Robert Harvey, 36, has been sentenced to two and a half to five years in prison for eluding police. He was initially pulled over in February for expired tags on his white Cadillac, but he fled the scene and eluded the officer. In March, he was spotted driving at high speed and later apprehended after fleeing on foot. Harvey pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated eluding, driving under the influence, and possession of marijuana. He had a previous conviction for conspiracy to commit forgery. (Oil City News)
