Cheyenne DDA offering $55K contract for 2026 downtown beautification (capcity.news) — Downtown Cheyenne’s planters are getting a makeover, and local horticulture pros can now bid on a 2026 beautification contract worth up to $55,000. The Downtown Development Authority wants one vendor to design, install and maintain greenery year-round, with proposals due Jan. 16, 2026 via the DDA website.
   

2. Cheyenne man facing multiple felonies for assault on pregnant woman (capcity.news) — A 19-year-old Cheyenne man is facing multiple felony charges after police investigated reports that he threatened a pregnant woman with a handgun and strangled her during a domestic incident. Court documents say the woman, four months pregnant, later told officers he also threatened to “shoot up the house” if she refused to leave with him, leading to his Dec. 10 arrest.
   

3. Attempted Murder Charges For Cheyenne Teens, Recording Details Plans To Kill Rival (cowboystatedaily.com) — Cheyenne police have arrested three teens in connection with an alleged Dec. 7 plot to kill a rival at a South Arp Avenue home, backed by a profanity-filled recording describing the plan. No one was injured, but two juveniles face attempted first-degree murder accusations and an 18-year-old is charged with a weapons-related felony as the case moves through Laramie County Circuit Court.
   

4. Laramie County Recent Arrests (12/23/24-12/24/25) (capcity.news) — Cheyenne residents can now see the latest Laramie County arrest log, listing recent adult arrests and recommended charges from local law enforcement. The report, provided by the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, excludes juveniles, certain sensitive cases, and those who bonded out before information was released.
   

5. Unsung Heroes: Fitness instructor Sarah Oman strives to keep people moving and healthy, no matter their age (wyomingnews.com) — A Cheyenne fitness instructor known as the “mama bear” at 307 Fitness has spent about a decade helping residents of all ages stay active and confident.
