WYDOT awards two contracts for Laramie County roadwork, bridge rehab (capcity.news) — Bridge work is coming to two key routes just outside Cheyenne, with WYDOT awarding contracts to rehab I-25 bridges south of town and a Horse Creek Road bridge. The projects, totaling more than $800,000, include deck overlays, structural concrete, and timber cap replacement. Drivers can expect work through March 2026 on Horse Creek and October 2026 on I-25.

Multi-agency operation targets 'unqualified, unsafe and undocumented' drivers (wyomingnews.com) — Law enforcement in and around Cheyenne is ramping up joint operations to pull unsafe and undocumented commercial drivers off Laramie County roads, resulting in multiple ICE arrests and vehicles taken out of service. Deputies and ICE agents describe their 287(g) partnership, while Cheyenne residents and civil rights advocates raise concerns about profiling, family separations, and growing fear in immigrant communities.

Cheyenne woman charged with felony after 5 vehicles vandalized on East 9th Street (capcity.news) — A Cheyenne woman has been charged with felony property destruction after several vehicles were damaged on East 9th Street, according to police and court documents. Officers say multiple tires were slashed, paint was keyed, and a truck windshield was broken, with the alleged damage exceeding the $1,000 threshold for a felony under Wyoming law.

4. Crew Clears 100+ Derailed Freight Cars From Track Near Cheyenne In 18 Hours (cowboystatedaily.com) — Strong winds blew more than 100 BNSF freight cars off the tracks near Cheyenne, and crews cleared the line within about 18 hours so trains could run again. Residents watched specialized contractors and BNSF teams work overnight in tough conditions to move derailed cars and containers off the embankment. Salvage of equipment will continue later, but reopening the rail line was the top priority.
