21-Year-Old Man Dies In Bessemer Shooting
Carlos Dewayne Wells, Jr., 21, was killed during a shooting in Bessemer, according to the Jefferson County Coroner.
BESSEMER, AL — A 21-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday in Bessemer. Carlos Dewayne Wells, Jr., 21, was killed in the 2100 block of Berkley Avenue, according to police.
Bessemer police said the incident occurred around noon Thursday. Wells was pronounced dead on the scene after police found him on the front porch of the Bessemer home.
No arrests have been made, but police say a gunshot wound patient arrived at UAB West shortly after the incident, and the shootings may be linked.
