  1. Applications are due this week for the City of Birmingham's civic-awareness initiative. The Academy of Civic Engagement (ACE) is a seven-week program designed to get residents involved and engaged within their local municipal government by bringing citizens together to understand how the city is working for them. Those interested must submit an application by Apr. 7. (Bham Now)
  2. A Birmingham man has gone missing for the second time since 2020. 26-year-old Gregory Williams, Jr. left home on Apr. 3 and was seen by a neighbor headed eastbound along 5th Avenue North in the direction of East Lake Park. According to police, Williams, Jr. has autism and is non-verbal; his Autism Society Bracelet transmitted his last location around the 7700 block of 4th Ave. N. (WBRC)
