Birmingham Police Arrest 5, Confiscate More Than $50K In Drugs

Police seized more than 3,300 grams of marijuana, 25 Xanax pills, 19 Hydrocodone​ pills, 30 Oxy/Percocet pills and 25 Ecstasy​ pills.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A recent search warrant of a home this week in West Birmingham led to multiple arrests and the discovery of a variety of illegal drugs and firearms.

According to the Birmingham Police Department, more than $50,000 in drugs were located, including more than 3,300 grams of marijuana, 25 Xanax pills, 19 Hydrocodone pills, 30 Oxy/Percocet pills and 25 Ecstasy pills.

Police said several firearms were also recovered from the scene. One of them had been reported stolen.

Four people were arrested on felony charges while one person was taken into custody on misdemeanor charges, police added.
