Human Remains Found At Vulcan Identified

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Skeletal remains discovered near Vulcan Trail March 24 have been identified as 62-year-old Ted Dewitt Stephenson of Birmingham. The discovery was made by a walker that evening in some woods off the trail.

Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the body had likely been at the location for a couple of weeks, but the cause of death is still uncertain. Yates said nothing at the scene immediately indicated foul play.
