Man Shot To Death In Car At Intersection: Birmingham Police
The victim has been identified as Rodger Burr II, 41, of Birmingham. At this time, police said they have no suspects in custody.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a shooting that has left one man dead. The shooting took place Wednesday along the 700 block of Carline Avenue, police said. The victim has been identified as Rodger Burr II, 41, of Birmingham.
According to police, around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a person shot. When officers arrived to the scene, they found Burr inside of his vehicle unresponsive. Police said he was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation suggests that Burr was at the intersection of Carline Avenue
and Avenue T when another vehicle pulled adjacent to the victim’s car, police said. Someone inside that vehicle fired multiple shots fatally wounding Burr. Police said Burr's car rolled foward and came to a rest yards away.

As this time, police said there are no suspects in custody and detectives have not established a motive.
