PNC Bank Robbery: Birmingham Police Seek Suspect

Police are trying to identify a man seen on security video robbing a PNC bank branch Tuesday afternoon.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A bank robbery Tuesday afternoon has Birmingham police searching for a suspect seen committing the crime via security footage. The robbery occurred just before 4:30 p.m. at the PNC branch at 9648 Parkway East.

The man handed a note to the teller and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department. Mauldin said security photos show the man leaving the scene in a black Nissan Altima.

The suspect was wearing a black hat, grey sweatshirt, white t-shirt, blue jeans and a black mask, Mauldin said.
